Chef de Partie:

The Wheatsheaf Pub and Pantry have an amazing new opportunity for an experienced Chef De Partie. The pubs are part of a small, independent group run by a local family and is known for serving excellent quality homemade food, which is freshly prepared using locally sourced ingredients in the Peak District.

 

Chef de Partie is responsible for ensuring the standards of service and presentation are adhered to at all times. Also responsible for maintaining the quality standards of their section and adhering to the food costs throughout their shift.

 

General duties:

· Preparing designated section each shift.

· Ensuring all required ingredients are prepared and ready for service

· Ensuring safe and hygiene practices are maintained at all times

· Ensuring the highest quality food is produced on a consistent basis

· Providing a friendly, courtesies and professional attitude at all the times

· Ensure all work areas are kept clean and tidy and are completely cleaned at the end of each shift

· An ability to cope well under pressure, an excellent team player, a passion for delivering high standard food, good organisation skills and the ability to multi-tasking is essential.

Preferable at least one-year experience at Chef de Partie level, or a strong Commis Chef looking for the next step. Our passionate Head Chef will be able to provide you with further training needed to progress your career.

Bar & Waiting Staff:

Are you a confident, outgoing person that loves working with a great team and a real go-getter? Then this is the position for you.

 

This position is Ideal for people looking for that step in hospitality with a company that pushes hard for progression.

 

Experience is preferred but non-essential. Full training will be given.

We are recruiting for both full time and part time positions, we can adapt to a flexible schedule.

Sous Chef:

Our group has a longstanding reputation for good food, and we are delighted to announce that we are looking for an enthusiastic friendly team to support our head chef.

 

Opportunities for apprenticeships and development available

 

The Role:

We are looking for self-motivated applicants with a positive attitude who have prior experience preparing fresh food and are keen to continue developing their skillset.

 

It is important to be able to cope with high numbers of covers during our busiest times.

 

The successful applicant will be required to:

  • Help manage the kitchen and prepare/cook fresh food to our high standard.

  • Demonstrate a good working knowledge of fresh food and cooking techniques.

  • Assist with stock control and stock takes.

  • Confidently complete food orders.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of Health and Safety procedures.

  • Be confident in your abilities to communicate with the rest of the team.

Kitchen Porter/Pot-washer:

As a Kitchen Porter, you are at the heart of our main operations and we are looking for individuals who share our energy and passion and will contribute to our ongoing success.

 

As a kitchen porter, your primary role will be to support the team by ensuring all areas of the kitchen and equipment are kept clean. You will be part of a team delivering an exceptional food offering.

 

While your focus will be primarily on the pot wash, flexibility is required.

 

General duties

· To carry out kitchen tasks set for you by your head chef / sous chef

· To collect deliveries, clean and stock kitchen

· To assist with cleaning duties in an effective and friendly manner

· To maintain the Wheatsheaf Pub and Pantry's standards of food safety & cleanliness

· To communicate effectively with your manager and team

. To work in a fast-paced kitchen washing pots and keeping hygiene standards up to standard.
